Schuurs has won three doubles titles on the WTA tour, as well as one singles and twenty doubles titles on the ITF circuit in her career. On 23 February 2015, she reached her best singles ranking of world number 512. On 25 September 2017, she peaked at world number 40 in the doubles rankings.
Schuurs won the junior events of the 2011 Australian Open and 2011 US Open doubles.
