Delmar High School is a public high school in Delmar, a community in Sussex County, Delaware. The school is co-located with Delmar Middle School, along with the district offices. Delmar High School's enrollment includes students from Delmar, Maryland and 45 students from other cities under Delaware's School Choice program.
The total 2008-2009 high school enrollment was 640 students, and 501 students in the middle school, with 1,141 students in the district in total. The current school building was built in 2000, though the original building was built in 1928.
The school completed expansion in August 2008, with the cafeteria being expanded to hold approximately seventy additional students. The middle school also added a new wing.
In the 2008-2009 school year, the Delmar School District introduced a uniform policy replacing its original dress code.
In March 2010, the Delmar and Wicomico Boards of Education approved modification of the Bi-State Agreement, which allows cross-border student enrollment. The passage of the modification moves 5th graders at Delmar Elementary School, which is on the Maryland side of town, to the middle school, beginning in the 2010-2011 school year.

Long sleeve/short sleeve oxford, polo shirt, or turtleneck in solid white, navy blue, orange, or gray.
All shirts must have a collar and must be tucked in. No skin should be visible between the waistband of the pants and the bottom of the shirt.
Only the top button can be unbuttoned. Shirts that are not able to be buttoned to the top of the shirt are not acceptable.
Crewneck, cardigan, and v-neck sweaters, sweatshirts, vests or pullovers in solid white, navy blue, orange or gray may be worn with the appropriate collared shirt underneath.
An approved long sleeve or short sleeve T-shirt or turtleneck in solid white, navy blue, orange or gray may be worn underneath a collared shirt. No writing is allowed on the shirt.
Hooded attire is not permitted at any time.
Team and club attire must be administratively approved to be worn as part of the school uniform.
Delmar School District provided competition jersey attire is acceptable on team event days as long as the appropriate collared shirt is worn under the jersey. Team uniform bottoms may not be worn.
All tops should be of appropriate size so as not to cause undo stretching or gapping of the material. Tops should not be tight to the skin or overly baggy.
Anything designated as an undergarment should not be seen (e.g. camisoles, undershirts).
Khaki style pants, capris, shorts, skirts, skorts, or jumpers in navy blue or tan.
Boys may wear khaki style pants or shorts in navy blue or tan.
Girls may wear pants, shorts, skorts, skirts, or jumpers.
The bottom of shorts, skorts, jumpers and skirts must touch the top of the knee.
Jumpers must have the appropriate collared shirt underneath.
Bottoms must be worn no lower than the natural waist.
A belt must be worn if clothing item has belt loops. Belts may not be accessorized or have adornments. A belt cannot be worn if there are no belt loops.
Bottoms may be cargo style; however, there may not be chains, writing or any other adornments on the pants. Corduroy is not acceptable.
All bottoms should be of appropriate size so as not to cause undo stretching or gapping of the material. Bottoms should not be tight to the skin or overly baggy.
Solid color white, tan, natural, black, grey, orange or navy blue socks may be worn.
Solid color white, tan, natural, navy blue, orange or grey tights or pantyhose may be worn.
Shoes must be worn at all times. Footwear must be appropriate for the student’s designated activity.
Slippers are not permitted.
Ties are acceptable but not mandatory. Team coaches and club advisors can designate certain days for participants to wear a tie.
Cut-offs, frayed seams, and holes are not permitted on any clothing. Belt loops should not be cut off.
Hats, head coverings, visors, scarves, bandanas, combs/picks and sunglasses may not be worn in the building. Headbands for females should be no wider than 2 inches. Hair should be neat, well-groomed and out of the eyes.
No accessories, costumes, or unusual attire that is inappropriate or disruptive to the normal operation of the school may be worn.
The only Delmar logos that will be permitted will be those logos that are Delmar School District approved. Writing is not allowed on any clothing.
Students must remove and store coats, gloves, scarves, and hats in their locker upon entering the building.
When “Jean Day” occurs the students will be allowed to wear blue or black jeans. No holes, writing, or adornments may be on the jeans.

Delmar participates in athletics in the Henlopen Conference. It is one of the smallest schools in the conference, by enrollment, thereby competing in the Henlopen South. In total, the Delmar Wildcats have won six state championships in both boys' and girls' sports. The school has been in eleven football championships, the last being in 2009. The Delmar Wildcats football team's rival is Laurel High School's Bulldogs, a rivalry known as the Battle for the Lions Club Trophy.
