Della hardman day sprituals choir performs


Della Hardman (1922 – 2005), was an American artist and a university professor at West Virginia State University. Della Hardman Day is celebrated every year on the island of Martha's Vineyard. The event is hosted by the town of Oak Bluffs and the festivities are in Ocean Park on the last Saturday of July. All are welcome to join in the occasion.

Della Hardman taught at West Virginia State University for thirty years and the school now has a Della Brown Taylor Hardman Gallery, in her honor. Della was named commissioner of the West Virginia Arts and Humanities Council by Governor John D. Rockefeller.
