Delaware County Youth Initiative

Delaware County Youth Initiative (DCYI) is a county-wide, nonprofit coalition of organizations and individuals interested in developing healthy and productive children and youth in Delaware County, PA.

Delaware County, Pennsylvania is a highly populated county west of Philadelphia. It is economically and socially diverse, with many issues facing its population. DCYI exists to help address those issues, including drug use, crime, and providing programs for children and youth from various socio-economic backgrounds.

Mission statement

To develop Delaware County's youth by mobilizing people from every sector of the county to fulfill the Five Promises of America's Promise:

  • A healthy start

  • Opportunities to give back
  • Vision statement

    To unite the citizens of Delaware County through teamwork, innovation, and service in order to build up youth in our county; becoming Delaware County's Alliance for Youth – using the power of one team for the benefit of many.
