Electoral history

The 2008 mayoral election took an unusual twist when Knudson's opponent, Todd Erskine, suspended his campaign and released an endorsement of Knudson. "I think he's more qualified for the job," Erskine said of Knudson. "So I'm supporting him."

Knudson was re-elected over challenger Kevin Hartman in 2010 receiving 93% of the vote. Knudson declined to run for reelection in 2016.
