Contents

Roberto de Nobili, who has eight Jesuit secondary schools in Jharkhand named after him, was an early 17th century missionary to Southern India. St. John de Britto would follow de Nobili's example and adapt to local customs in his presentation of Christianity.

On the right side of the school's logo is the coat of arms of the de Nobili family. On the left are a wavy line symbolizing the Damodar River and above it the Jesuit IHS logo and the lotus, the Indian symbol for learning and wisdom.
