De Britto Higher Secondary School is a Jesuit school in Ramnagar, Devakottai, in Sivagangai District of Tamil Nadu, South India. It is one of the pioneering institutions of Jesuit Madurai Province. The school is named after the Jesuit martyr John de Britto.

Academics

De Britto was established in 1943 with a view to cater to the needs of the people in the low rung of the society. It is located in a town environment surrounded by a number of villages. It received permanent recognition in 1947 and was upgraded to higher secondary in 1978.

Athletics

Athletic facilities include 3 football fields, 2 for basketball, volleyball, and badminton, 1 for hockey, kabbadi, and table tennis, a 200-meter track, parallel bar and horizontal bar, and weight-lifting. Team sports are football, basketball, volleyball, hockey, batminton, table tennis, and track and field. The hockey team has been most successful, winning the state championship eight times, in 1966 and from 1970-1973, 1975, 1976, and 1978.
