Daviz Simango
3 1 daviz simangoDaviz Mbepo Simango (born February 7, 1964) is a Mozambican politician who has been Mayor of Beira since 2003. He is also the President of the Democratic Movement of Mozambique (MDM). He is son of Uria Simango, the first Vice-President of FRELIMO. He joined the opposition RENAMO in 1997 and became Mayor of Beira in 2003 as its candidate. On March 6, 2009, he founded a new party, the MDM.
