David Drebin is an American photographer, known for his sexy, intrigue-filled images of celebrities and non-celebrities alike. “I like pictures that are often duplicitous and have hidden meanings,” Drebin has said. He has shot ad campaigns internationally for companies such as American Express and Davidoff and has contributed to magazines ranging from Vanity Fair, Travel + Leisure, and GQ to Elle and Rolling Stone. He has also made portraits of Charlize Theron, John Legend, Sandra Bernhard, Kevin Bacon, and Diane Von Furstenberg.

The record price for a David Drebin photograph is the now sold-out Central Park, which was sold for $78,000 at Art Miami 2011 by Contessa Gallery.

Drebin, originally from Toronto, Canada, studied at Parsons The New School for Design. He graduated in 1996 and is based in New York. Drebin is associated with numerous galleries around the world, including Camera Work in Berlin, Fahey/Klein in Los Angeles, Guy Hepner in London, Young Gallery in Brussels, and Contessa Gallery who showcases his work at art fairs worldwide.

Drebin's first monograph, Love and Other Stories, was published by Daab in 2007. On April 1, 2009, his photograph Movie Star sold for $16,250 at the Phillips de Pury & Company spring photographs auction in New York. Celebrity collectors of Drebin’s work include Elton John and Ben Stiller.

Drebin has subsequently released two more books both published by teNeues entitled The Morning After (2010) and Beautiful Disasters released in 2012.
