Dave evans bicentennial tree climb

The Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree was pegged for climbing to celebrate Australia's bicentenary in 1988. Although it is built like a fire lookout tree, it was never used as one but only as a tourist attraction. Along with the Diamond and Gloucester Tree, it is one of three lookouts which remain climbable in the Warren National Park of southwestern Australia. The two tonne platform, at a height of 75 metres (246 ft), is reached by climbing 165 metal spikes hammered into the trunk.
