Daou Technology Inc. (Korean: 다우기술, KRX: 023590), Republic of Korea, was founded in 1986 as an information technology (IT) company, providing and conducting enterprise software development, System Integration (SI), IT consulting, IT outsourcing and Internet service business. In the beginning of establishment, Daou Technology pushed ahead the localization business of foreign-made solution. At that time, Daou Technology performed the development of localization business for Informix RDBMS and Korean VGA board and phased Netscape web browser for the first time in 1995 as well.

Daou Technology Inc. has been listed on the Korea Stock Exchange since 1997 and has 20 affiliated companies including Daou Data, Kiwoom Securities, SaraminHR and KICA(Korea Information Certificate Authority). Entering into 2000, hardware business was reduced and mainly focused on software and service business for the improvement of profitability. Also, Daou Technology has established the partnerships with global software companies such as IBM, VMware, Citrix and RedHat providing IT service which factor in cloud computing, virtualization, open source, and SaaS (Software as a Service). In 2008, Daou Technology have been merged with Unitel Network which was affiliated company to secured Internet Services and supplied services such as PPurio, enFax, Minisum, DaouPay, Unicro, DonutBook, SmartPush and DCSms. In 2010, Daou Technology developed SmartProcess which is Daou’s own CRM service and Team Office (SaaS solution) as well. The next generation groupware solution, Daou Office for cooperation and communication was also released in 2014 and it is successfully performing the business.

Currently Daou Technology is focusing on the new business such as video contents like movie and drama, and Virtual IDC and network management. Video content business is expecting stable revenue from investments and optional publication right projects, including film production and generate additional revenue through securing entertainment content for a variety of smart devices and IPTV. Daou IDC business has been expanding its business scope including the network management business.
