Danny Hulme (born 15 December 1991) is an English rugby league footballer who played for Widnes Vikings in 2010 and 2011 before joining for the North Wales Crusaders in 2012. His usual position is Full-Back. Hulme signed for Crusaders after being released by Widnes Vikings. In 2011, Hulme scored a hat trick of tries in 8 minutes against Halifax which is a club record. He also picked up 2011 Widnes Vikings Young Player of the Year. Having spent a brief period out of the game in order to become an Aeronautical Engineer, Hulme signed for Toulouse Olympique XIII in the summer of 2014. Such is Hulme's frenetic playing style he has already inherited the nickname 'Danny Ze Dog' from his teammates in ode to the popular film Danny the Dog with Hulme's hero Jet Li portraying the protagonist Danny alongside other such luminaries as Morgan Freeman and Bob Hoskins.
