Dangtola is a small village nearly 2 km from the neighbor New Bongaigaon and around 170 km from Guwahati Assam. It comes under one of the development block of Chirang district in Assam. It is now coming to picture after the development of the nearby cities like bongaigaon, Kokrajhar. The major source of income for the people in these areas are agriculture and small business. Agriculture constitutes nearly 80% of the income. The nearest road connectivity is by NH31 which is some 10 km from the village. Few small rivers like Kuchiya River flows through the area.

Agriculture and Land

It is an area of Agricultural domination. Here various crops productions like Sali-Wheat, oilseeds, pulses are cultivated by the people. It has georaphical area of 24121 hactares out of which nearly 50% i.e. 11364 are utilised for Agricultural purposes. It has a forest cover of nearly 12.3% of its total area which is quite low.

Dangtola Railway Station
