Recall mayor dan rivera in lawrence
Daniel Rivera is an American politician. As of November 5, 2013, Daniel is the mayor of Lawrence, Massachusetts. The election was a close one, with the unofficial count favoring Rivera by 58 votes over his opponent, incumbent William Lantigua. The results of a recount showed a wider margin of 81 votes out of some 15,000 votes cast. In August 2015, a group began recall efforts to remove Rivera from the mayoral seat due to what they claimed was his inability to fight crime and improper hiring practices among other grievances led by the party of the former mayor William Lantigua. Two recalls eventually ensued that year both fail to garnish the necessary signatures to trigger a recall election.
