Danny Paisley and The Southern Grass are an award winning American Bluegrass band that performs mainly traditional style bluegrass music. The band performs Worldwide and records on the Patuxent Music label and is represented by Roe Entertainment.

History
This band was started by Bob Paisley after leaving Ted Lundy and The Southern Mountain Boys. By 1979 they were known as Bob Paisley and the Southern Grass. The original members were Ted Lundy, Fred Hannah and Jerry Lundy. They were soon joined by Bob's son, Danny Paisley, and Ted Lundy’s sons T.J. and Bobby; Ted Lundy died in 1980. Mandolinist Don Eldreth completed the group. In 2004 Bob Paisley died of cancer, and Bob's son Danny Paisley took over the group, since then they have been internationally touring as Danny Paisley and the Southern Grass. In 2009 the group received the Song of the Year award from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) for the song "Don't Throw Mama's Flowers Away" by Chris Stuart and Ivan Rosenberg. In 2016 Danny Paisley received the IBMA's Male Vocalist of the Year award. The group has also received multiple nominations from the IBMA .
