Daljit Singh Shergill (Punjabi: ਦਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ੇਰਗਿੱਲ; August 1944 – 6 October 2014), known as Shergill Sahib, was an Sikh leader from Punjab, India, who was president of the first gurdwara in the UK.
Shergill was a businessman of respectable standing who immigrated to the West Midlands in 1965. He formerly received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of business administration from Delhi University/ He became president of Smethwick Gurdwara in 1984.
He died in Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in 2014, age 70.
