Powertrain

The EV1 uses two 5.6 kW (7.5 hp) electric motors, rear-mounted driving the rear axle, powered by a 21.1 kWh battery pack rated to deliver a combined power output of up to 11.2 kW (15.0 hp). It has a claimed top speed of 89 km/h (55 mph) and acceleration of 0 to 30 km/h (0 to 19 mph) in 2.4 seconds.

The battery has a total capacity of 21.1 kWh electric vehicle battery these batteries are contained in a removable tray.
