DZRH News Television is a 24-hour cable news channel of Manila Broadcasting Company in the Philippines. Its programs are primarily from MBC's flagship AM station DZRH.

Contents

DZRH News Television is the first Cable-TV station in the Philippines to utilize Facebook's new live streaming platform by mirroring the video content for cable operators to Facebook's servers via DZRH News Television Facebook Page.

DZRH News Television is the second cable TV channel that broadcasts news from a radio station (DZRH), after DZMM launched its TeleRadyo channel.

History

On October 1, 2007 DZRH-TV revived as an Interactive Radio/Cable TV channel. First on-air screen channel seen on SkyCable, later on Dream Satellite TV & other cable TV Channels nationwide with 300 cable affiliates. First known as TV Natin, then DZRH RadyoVision. It was later changed to DZRH Television or RHTV. The channel later became available on Measat 3 platform along with the flagship MBC radio stations (Yes! The Best 101.1, 90.7 Love Radio and DZRH).

In October 2013, RHTV renamed as DZRH News Television as part of the integration of the news and public affairs of DZRH and the 6th anniversary of the News and Public Affairs channel on Cable and Satellite.

Programming

DZRH News Television airs the live video feed of DZRH programs, except selected radio dramas and during sign-off. DZRH News Television also airs its produced programs like MBC Network News, Kumpletos Rekados, Showbiz Tsismiz, Art2Art and PTT's Byaheng RH, as well as the live coverage of Aliwan Fiesta and MBC National Choral Competition.

On-screen graphics

In May 9, 2016 during national elections, the station's graphics went under notable change, the channel's on-screen graphics is smaller and now consists of light blue and yellow gradients with small looping GIF on the left side, the title of the program and name of hosts are now located where headlines appear.

In 2015, the channel's on-screen graphics runs a single ticker with the current time, the forex prices (mixed with the Philippine Stock Exchange stock market price) and weather, astronomical and tide information combined, following that with the headlines bar (mixed with national and international news, sports, showbiz, and their social media accounts) and finally at the top is the title of the program (in red background and white text) and the host (in white background and black text). The logo of the channel is located on the top right of the screen.

In 2013, the channel uses 2 tickers (similar to CNBC's ticker), with weather, astronomical and tide forecasts on the top band and the forex and stock market prices on the bottom band.

During DZRH News Television-produced programming and during commercial breaks, the on-screen graphics are removed and only shows the channel's logo on the top right.
