DYWF (93.1 FM), better known as 93.1 Brigada News FM Metro Cebu, is a music and news FM radio station owned and operated by Brigada Mass Media Corporation. The station's studio are located at 2nd Floor, Mariners Court Building, Legazpi Ext., Pier 1, Barangay San Roque, Cebu City, while its transmitter is located at 28th Floor, Winland Tower Condominium, Juana OsmeƱa Ext., Cebu City. DYWF operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it is considered to be the over-all number one FM radio station in Cebu based on KBP-Kantar Radio Surveys during the 4th quarter of 2016.

History

  • Formerly owned by Vimcontu Broadcasting Corporation, its first broadcast in 1992 was Smash 93.1.
  • Then, it was changed to Crossover 93.1 in the 1997 under the ownership of Mareco Broadcasting Network, Inc..
  • In 2003, it changed back to Smash 93.1 and was returned to its original owner, Vimcontu Broadcasting Corporation.
  • On September 1, 2009, Smash 93.1 was officially reformatted to Club Radio 93.1.
  • On July 27, 2013, Brigada Mass Media Corporation acquired the station and reformatted it as 93.1 Brigada News FM.
