DWAF-TV is a commercial relay television station owned by ABS-CBN Corporation. Its studio is located at 4/F Rios Bldg. cor. Taft St., Colleges Ave., Tuguegarao City with an effective-radiated power of 30,000 watts. The station had previously an originating station on January 27, 1997, which aired TV Patrol Tuguegarao until its cancellation on December 31, 2004 upon its merging with TV Patrol Cagayan Valley on January 3, 2005, it is now simulcast led to become a relay station from TV-2 Isabela.

History

  • 1969 - DWAF-TV Channel 3, the first television station in Cagayan Valley, was launched by ABS-CBN with their former CBN.
  • 1973 - During the declaration of Martial law by then-President Ferdinand Marcos, and the takeover of ABS-CBN by his crony Roberto Benedicto, DWAF-TV and became part of the Banahaw Broadcasting Corporation.
  • 1987 - DWAF-TV reopened under ABS-CBN, its original network
  • June 28, 1988 - DWAF-TV carries the Star Network with a gold tri-ribbon channel 3 logo with a star
  • 1989 - DWAF-TV starting domestic satellite broadcasts to bring programs live from Manila.
  • January 27, 1997 - TV Patrol Cagayan Valley (later retitled as TV Patrol Tuguegarao) becomes the station's flagship newscast.
