2002-2008

DJ Praveen Nair Praveen Nair on a musical high Times of India

Nair had his first major success with remix of Bryan Adam’s track “Summer of 69” gave him recognition at the Times Music war of The DJs in his first year 2002 and was one of the top 07 finalist. In 2003, he was runners’ up in the Times Music war of The DJs and was voted amongst the best Indian Djs through The MTV- Motorola Spin masters National DJ Championship held at Velocity nightclub in Mumbai. Later in the year, he played at the The Hinduja group owned In-Cable TV all India Dj championship held at Mikanos club in Mumbai.

He also hosted a late night club show, Red live for Red FM along with fellow DJ Vivek in the year 2003. His career as a Club DJ became prominent through his residency at Provogue Lounge – Mumbai (2003-2004), Amnesia- Leela Kempinski -Mumbai(2005-2006), Fashion Bar - Mumbai(2005-2006) and 10 Downing Street –Pune (2004-2005) in the following years.

2009-Present

In 2009, Nair released his first debut album with Times Music in 2009. The album named ‘Burn D Dance floor’, was launched by Mika Singh, Lucky Ali and Udit Narayan. The album contained 08 retro remakes and featured singers like Rahul Vaidya, Akriti Kakkar, Javed Ali, Earl Edgar(url), Saberi, Apurva and Mahua Kamat of the first girl band Viva fame. The Video song “Kero Mama” was a remake of 1985 Bollywood movie Arjun.

Later in the year Praveen signed up with FEVER 104 FM Radio to host his own show called Saturday Nite Fever and was played across in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Kolkata till June 2014. In 2010 he simultaneously hosted another Bollywood club show called Club HD with DJ Praveen Nair “for Humdesi Radio in the U.S.A. played across North America for 04 years. Nair currently hosts his own Club Show for Radio Mirchi in the U.A.E from year 2012. Nair has done several bollywood remixes and also a few international remixes including Grammy nominee Sir Ivan (Ivan Wilzig) for remix of the billboard chartbuster "Hare Krishna" Remix (2010, Peaceman Music).
