DJ Lord Ron (born as Michael LaRon Stringer; December 2, 1962 in Los Angeles, California) is a DJ and record producer. DJ Lord Ron began his "DJ" career playing hip hop dance music at inner city parties in the early-to-mid 1990s, and would become a key figure in breaking down the west coast, east coast barriers that have plagued the Hip-Hop community. Influenced by his predecessors in ways of scratching legendary DJ, Grandmaster Flash, and the showmanship of Jam Master Jay. DJ Lord Ron admits that while there is ‘nothing new under the sun’ with regards to Deejaying, as he keeps it simple with scratching, mixing and scratching, it is his unparalleled passion to the art form, that he infectiously brings to the table, be it through Deejaying or production. “I listen with my own ears, and I am not concerned with other producers or what they do,” DJ Lord Ron explains.
DJ Lord Ron is known for his understanding the importance of tailoring a beat around the style of the artist, and not the artist’s style around the beat, is what has allowed for the emergence of DJ Lord Ron’s rising star as a producer some might say, and this has been shown through his body of work—having produced for many artists, including Guru from the legendary rap group, Gang Starr, Big Shug, Krumbsnatcha Gang Starr Foundation, Lil Dap Gang Starr Foundation, Group Home Gang Starr Foundation, John Robinson aka Lil Sci, Akil The MC Formerly of Jurassic 5, C Rayz Walz, Wildelux & many others DJ Lord Ron has remained an active and vital part of Hip-Hop aesthetics, as he ends with this; “I really think it has nothing to do with the music, but just me sharing positive wisdom and knowledge from the many people that I’ve met through Hip-Hop, be it on the streets, at a show or on the Internet. My aunt Linda always said that I was an old soul. If you come across anyone that knows me in Hip-Hop, they will not have a bad thing to say about me, because of what I put out into the Universe, because I believe in karma, and that is how I live my life be it through music or from a personal stance.”

In 1999, DJ Lord Ron sponsored two Hip Hop B-Boy/Girl break dancing battles at the world famous "Project Blowed" in Leimert Park hosted by J Smoov in Los Angeles, California.
DJ Lord Ron is involved in community affairs and has participated as a panelists/judge/DJ at Cal State Fullerton to discuss "Music Industry Unwrapped" presented by the African American Student Body "F.I.R.E."
DJ Lord Ron worked as a "Street Promoter" for Rap Sheet magazine in 1995-1998
In September ’03, DJ Lord Ron DJed at Sherri Franklin's political fund raiser, (LA Council, 8th District, February 2003) Mayor victory party for newly elected Antonio Villaraigosa (June ‘05).
He has also DJ'ed many radio Hip-Hop shows with his talents, radio shows such as Solofhiphop.com, Skratchlab.com, Funktheworld.com, Divine Forces Radio 90.7 FM KPFK (Burbank, CA.), The Downlow with Kevin Sakoda KSPC 88.7 FM (Claremont, CA.), Hip Hop Philosophy Radio Show, Chemical Breakdowns 90.1 WUSB-FM (Stony Brook, NY). The Ready Cee Show (Bronx, NY)
DJ Lord Ron has also done film scoring with students at USC & UCLA.
DJ Lord Ron was a resident DJ on www.oghuskeyradio.com & is currently resident DJ at www.midcity-arts.com, Urban Underground Weekly, The Los Angeles Beat Swap Meet & have done various charitable events such as Teno's Hip Hop for Humanity, Occupy LA Hip Hop Benefit, Speak Your Mind Hip Hop Festival in Reno, Nevada
DJ Lord Ron in 2010 has been guest DJ on 90.7FM KPFK with Breakbeats & Rhymes Radio show, hosted by Rebels To The Grain & continues in 2011 to guest DJ. He has been on many stages performing at such venues like The Knitting Factory in Hollywood & New York, House Of Blues, El Rey Theatre, Echo Plex Theatre, Viper Room, Airliner, 360 Vault just to name a few. He has done music festivals and travels to DJ for music lovers.

DJ Lord Ron entered the 1st ever (West Coast Region) McDonald's Flavor DJ Battle / Sprite Step Off competition at Marina Green Park in Long Beach, CA. on October 17, 2009. The event was hosted by Cal State University Long Beach. Thousands came out to see the Step Off competition, Cold Flamez and Strikers All Stars from America's Best Dance Crew. DJs Walt Liquor (Quarter Pounder with Cheese), DJ Lord Ron (Big Mac) & winner DJ Jam X (Black Angus Mushroom & Swiss) all excited the crowd with their selective choice of songs.
In 2010 DJ Lord Ron made Hip Hop history by being the first Dee Jay & producer to release six music videos off an album release by the marketing genius of Charles Bronson of www.badfame.net Five music videos came in 2010 with the sixth coming in 2011. Environmental Shape Sounds Of DJ Lord Ron is the album.
