The Korsakoff project was launched in 2001 by Bart Kok, better known as Catscan. The project debuted with the album "Separated World", with record label Third Movement. The album was a big hit in the party scene. Later releases as "Tamara" and "My Empty Bottle" did well in (amongst others): The Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Spain. Since 2004, Lindsay van der Eng is the person behind Korsakoff. She officially produces her own releases, but Bart Kok is still involved. In the late summer of 2004 a collaboration with DJ Outblast was released: "Unleash the Beast", which was the anthem of the Masters of Hardcore festival that year.
