Biography

Cyrille Bara was born in Argenteuil and grew up in the banlieues of Paris. He married French porn star Céline Bara in 1998.

After studying at an art school in Paris for three years, Cyrille decided to begin producing pornographic movies. Between 1999 and 2001 he produced 20 pornographic movies. In 2002, Cyrille and his wife were sentenced to four years of imprisonment for a violent altercation involving porn actor and producer HPG (Hervé-Pierre Gustave). In 2008, he co-authored Céline Bara's biography La Sodomite (ISBN 978-2-9530330-0-7). In 2011, he illustrated the adult comic Barasutra, which features BDSM themes. He also produced cartoons such as Céline vs Satan and the Bara Sex Dance. His work progressively became more and more influenced by political subjects such as atheism and communism.

Since January 2014, he is the editor of MAL Magazine, an antitheist bi-monthly free webzine which is strongly critical of religions.

Politics

Cyrille Bara is vocally atheist and radically anti-religious. On 21 July 2011, he founded a new communist political party called the Antitheist and Libertine Movement, which combined antitheist and queer politics. He was the running mate of Céline Bara in the 2012 French legislative election in Ariège.
