Cypriot football clubs in European competitions

Cyprus Football Association joined UEFA in 1962. Cypriot clubs began to participate in the European Champion Clubs' Cup (later UEFA Champions League) and in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1963. Cypriot clubs also participate in the UEFA Cup (later UEFA Europa League) since 1971, when the competition was founded. Furthermore, Cypriot clubs joined UEFA Intertoto Cup since 1995 when UEFA undertook the organization of the competition. Altogether, 16 different clubs participated at least in one European competition, four of which (EPA Larnaca FC, Pezoporikos Larnaca, Alki Larnaca FC and APOP Kinyras FC) are no longer exist.

Cypriot teams have faced opponents from 49 different countries. UEFA has 54 federations members. Cypriot clubs have not yet faced opponents from Andorra, Latvia, Liechtenstein and Gibraltar. Clubs that belonged to Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia East Germany accounted to the federations belonging today.
