Cynthia K. Sakai (born March 13, 1982) is an American fashion designer.

Early life
A California native, Sakai grew up in a fashion forward environment with great influence from her mother. Her mother had worked for the Fendi family in Rome for many years. At age 15 Cynthia was receiving retail experience alongside her mother helping customers and traveling to trade shows.
At an early age she was able to finance her business ventures with money she had made while acting in commercials. After pursuing an acting career, Sakai decided to move in a different direction when she launched her first accessories line, Girlboy by Koco, at the age of 18.
By age 21, the young entrepreneur started a multiline showroom in Los Angeles, but Sakai's interests shifted running a showroom to designing a jewelry collection when her friend gave her an Italian bracelet. Sakai was inspired by the bracelet's craftmanship to work in the luxury accessory space; Vita Fede was then born in 2009.

Vita Fede has formed quite an impressive following, including a long list of high-profile celebrities and fashion authorities. The Vita Fede collection is celebrated at prestigious retailers worldwide. Cynthia travels the world to visit the stores which carry the Vita Fede brand. In 2014, Cynthia became a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, further demonstrating recognition for her contribution to the luxury space.
