Biography

She received her PhD in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research focus is condensed matter physics, and she serves on the Condensed Matter Subcommittee for the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory. She was named as one of HPCWire's People to Watch in 2013 due to her contributions in high-performance computing (HPC). Notably, she contributed to the development of policies aiding the use of HPC's in the private sector for economic and competitive gains. McIntyre was formerly the Chief of Staff to the President of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1999-2007.
