Cupcake Digital Inc. was founded in June 2012 by Brad Powers and Susan Miller.
The company’s current focus is on the production and distribution of children’s apps (applications used on mobile devices) containing interactive storybooks and games that are developed primarily for tablet and mobile platforms, including Apple iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), Google Android, Barnes & Noble’s Nook, and Amazon Kindle Fire.

Acquisitions
In March 2013, Cupcake Digital acquired zuuka Inc., developers of the popular iStoryTime Library. With over 200 children’s e-books, the acquisition became the basis for the company’s children’s app subscription platform, and expansion into children’s e-books and video content.
In November 2014, Cupcake Digital acquired Little Bit Studio, LLC, developers of the popular Bugs and Buttons series of apps for children. This acquisition is the company’s first step in creating and building original properties for the consumer products market.
