Croatia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Croatian entry was selected through an internal selection, organised by the Croatian broadcaster HRT. Nina Badrić represented Croatia with the song "Nebo", which failed to qualify from the second semi-final, achieving 12th place with 42 points.

Cancellation of Dora and internal selection

On 22 November 2011, HRT announced their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. HRT also announced that Dora 2012 would undergo big changes, with famous Croatian singers being invited and with the ability to choose their own songwriters. It was later announced that Dora was cancelled due to low interest.

Nina Badrić has confirmed that she would represent Croatia on the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku.

At Eurovision

Croatia competed in the second half of the second semi-final (10th on stage), on 24 May 2012, following Slovenia and preceding the Sweden. Croatia received 42 points and placed 12th, thus failing to qualify for the final on 26 May.
