Croatia selected its entry for the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest through the "Dora 2001" national contest, which was organised by the Croatian national broadcaster Hrvatska radiotelevizija (HRT) and held on 4 March 2001 in Zagreb. The winner was Vanna with the English-language song "Strings of My Heart".

Dora 2001

The national contest consisted of a televised final with 20 songs. The songs were pre-selected from a public call for submissions from songwriters and composers. The placings in the final were determined by televoting.

At Eurovision 2001 (Copenhagen, Denmark)

Vanna competed for Croatia the 2001 Eurovision contest on 12 May 2001 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and finished 10th with 42 points.
