Cristian Zorzi (born August 14, 1972, Cavalese, Trentino) is an Italian cross-country skier who excels at sprint ski races. He is nicknamed Zorro, for his exuberant character.

Biography

Zorzi's first major success was at the 2000 Cross-Country Skiing World Cup, where he finished in second place. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, he won a silver medal in the 4 x 10 km and a bronze in the individual sprint.

At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, he was the anchor on the 4 x 10 km team that would win gold in those games.

Zorzi has two medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with a gold in the team sprint (2007) and a silver in the individual sprint (2001).

He has also finished 2nd in the 2000–2001 sprint World Cup, then followed it up with a third the following season.
