Viitorul Constanța

Manea, who was born in Constanța, is a youth exponent from Viitorul Constanța. He made his Liga I debut during the 2013–14 season.
Apollon Limassol

Apollon Limassol signed the Romanian international after agreeing a fee with his current side Viitorul, ProSport reported on 10 February 2016. Before that, Romanian media reported that Manea was sold to Chelsea F.C. for around 2.3 million pounds, but the rumours proved to be false.

On 28 August 2015 he joined Royal Excel Mouscron on a season-long loan from Apollon Limassol.

On 27 June 2017 he returned to Romania, joining CFR Cluj on another season-long loan.
International career
Manea has been capped at under-16, under-17, under-19 and under-21 levels.
On 24 May 2014, Manea was called up by coach Victor Pițurcă to the senior team, after only 5 matches at club level. He made his debut on 31 May 2014, playing the entire match against Albania and becoming the youngest player to appear for the Romania national football team, breaking the previous record set by Grațian Sepi in 1928.
