Copán is one of the departments in the western part of Honduras. The departmental capital is the town of Santa Rosa de Copán. The department is well known for its tobacco and fine cigars.

La Ruidosa
La Ruidosa is a village located in the Copán Department of western in Honduras. It has potable water and electric power. Coffee, maize and beans are cultivated. A fountain called La Quebradona located south of the village. This community was founded approximately in 1920, the first inhabitants called this village La Ruidosa due to the strong growing of the present Quebradona.
