The Contest Show with Jeff & Pat is a call-in radio game show hosted by Jeff Zukauckas and Pat Butler. The Contest Show was usually heard Saturdays on Newsradio WTAM 1100 in Cleveland, Ohio. The program's time slot and duration varied week-to-week, to accommodate Indians, Cavaliers, or Browns coverage. "The Prize Guys" hosted the show since 2004, and gave away over $50,000 in prizes. The show originally ended during January 2010. The show resumed in December 2013.

Format

The first half-hour of The Contest Show is a dialogue between Jeff and Pat, setting the stage for some of the contests to come, and also allowing the call screener time to assemble the contestant lineup. The core of the show features a series of individual call-in contests, of the kind often heard on other radio programs. Some involve a single correct answer to win a prize; others require several correct guesses as to whether something is of one description or another. Most editions of The Contest Show also feature a knockout game, where five callers each guess the value of a numerical survey response or statistic; the furthest away is knocked out, and the remaining four play another statistic on the same topic; this repeats until one player is left, who wins the prize.

Hosts

Jeff and Pat are both Cleveland natives who went to college together at John Carroll University. While there, they both hosted various shows at campus radio station WJCU 88.7 FM. Both hosts have a background in media promotions. Jeff is currently WTAM's Promotions Director; Pat is a traffic reporter for Clear Channel Cleveland.
