GBLA-6 is a constituency of Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly which was represented by Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan of Pakistan Muslim League N. After appointment of Mir Ghazanfar, the political seat of the constituency became empty. Earlier Election commission decided for bi-election to be held on 28 May 2016. The decision was ruled out by Gilgit-Baltistan Supreme appellate court and the elections are postponed for a period of three weeks.

Waris Baig of PPP became member of assembly by getting 5,374 votes.
2015
Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan of Pakistan Muslim League (N) won this seat by getting 8,245 votes.
2016
Elections were to be held on 18 June 2016, but the court verdicts has led to indefinite extension.
Supreme appellate court ordered the election commission to re-conduct the registration and polling for the constituency. The verdict was announced by Chief Justice Rana Shamim. CJ Shamim marked the previous registration of candidates to be void, due to the flaws in selection process. CJ asked the election commission to re-conduct the whole procedure within 45 days.
After the CJ's remarks, election commission re-held the whole selection procedure of candidates. The date decided was 29 August 2016. But due to the visitof COAS and prime minister the elections are delayed for the third time. NA newdate is expected to be announced soon.
