Constantijn Francken (1661, Antwerp – 1717, Antwerp), was a Flemish Baroque painter and a member of the Francken family of artists.

Life

He was the son of Hieronymous Francken III who died before he could teach him to paint. It is unknown who his teacher was, but he declared that he had been in Paris for 15 years when he joined the Antwerp Guild of St. Luke in 1694. In 1696 he became deacon of the guild and took on Karel van Falens as his pupil. He is known for landscapes with soldiers.
