Consolidated Business Interests was one of the premier venture consulting firms throughout the 1990s. With close ties to venture capital firms such as Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Venrock, and Draper Fisher Jurvetson, CBI was instrumental in the success of many of the technology companies that launched during those years. It is widely acknowledged that the company's financial success stemmed from early-stage investments it made in client companies, several of which enjoyed prominent IPOs and continue in market leadership roles.
