The Colorado Department of Revenue is the principal department of the Colorado state government responsible for collecting governmental revenue and taxes within the state. The department has a regulatory role in the state, being responsible for the regulation of motor vehicles, gaming, and marijuana. The department further administers the Colorado Lottery.
