Colobosaura is a monotypic genus of lizard, endemic to South America, in the family Gymnophthalmidae.

Species
Only one species is recognized as being valid.
Taxonomy
The genus Colobosaura used to contain two additional species: C. kraepelini and C. modesta. However, in 2007 Rodrigues et al. determined that C. kraepelini is a synonym of C. modesta, and that C. mentalis should be placed in the new genus Acratosaura as Acratosaura mentalis.
