The College Hermann Spethmann, best known for CHS is a private college located in the city of Criciúma, state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The institution was founded in 1988.

History

With the interesting announcement revealed, including the undergraduate law, after two years of active service in academic medicine, Hermann Spethmann, followed the challenge and signed a contract with the State of Santa Catarina, to offer assistance to immigrants in the State of Santa Catarina, in the area of health.

Perhaps it was the first private school in the State. Unfortunately, with the insertion of the nationalization program of Getúlio Vargas, somewhat flippant and too extreme, not allowing the use of the German language in schools, in 1939 Hermann Spethmann had to leave the teaching profession, whose profession was the greatest pleasure of your life.
Hermann Spethmann is grandfather and great-grandfather of the founders of the college, that for all the reasons that are in this historic, decided to pay this tribute.
