Colin Andrew Savage (born 8 March 1966) is an actor, singer, musician, television producer and executive, and business consultant.

Theatre

Colin Savage trained at Drama Studio London, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and The City University. His debut album of Musical Theatre songs “One Voice, One Piano” was launched in 2010. He performs on tour around the World and in London, and hosts the annual Gotta Sing! Talent search for a new Musical Theatre star in the West End.

BBC

Colin Savage joined the BBC in 1991, and worked in Current Affairs on radio and television for the next 15 years. He produced popular Current Affairs shows on BBC One including The Crime Squad, 4x4 Reports and Real Story.

He worked as the Current Affairs Executive Producer on the launch of BBC Three in 2003 producing Liquid Assets, the documentary that delved into the bank balances of the rich and famous.

As Head of Development for BBC Current Affairs in 2004 Savage was “credited” with writing the “creative brief” suggesting that flagship current affairs series Panorama should be moved to weekday BBC One. In 2007, Peter Fincham controller of BBC One moved the show from Sundays to a prime evening slot on Mondays at 8:30pm.

Before leaving the BBC he worked as a creative consultant as part of then Director General Greg Dyke’s "Making it Happen" culture change initiative.

Business consultant

Since 2006, Savage has worked as a business, change consultant and presentation coach with blue chip companies across the world, and ran the civil service competition Visa’s Civil Service Challenge for Lord Gus O'Donnell at The Cabinet Office.
