Colantonio Incorporated, in partnership with Childs Bertman Tseckares Inc., were awarded a 2002 Citation for Design from American Institute of Architects New England Chapter. The two firms also received a Merit Award for Accessible Design in Public Architecture from the Executive Office of Public Safety Architectural Access Board. The former St. John's Episcopal Church is now the Ecumenical Center at Framingham State University. Designed by architect Alexander Rice Esty, the church was built in 1871 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 12, 1990. The custom sound-system was donated by Bose Corporation.
