Tutoring

Club Z! offers in-home tutoring in all subjects for grades pre-K through 12, plus college and adult tutoring. Through its proprietary Z! Tutor Match, tutors are selected, screened and background checked, and assigned to each student. Tutoring takes place predominantly in the student’s home, but may also occur in public locations such as a local library, community center, or on the student’s school campus. In select locations, Club Z! also offers small group and online tutoring courses. Club Z! tutors work with students of all needs, including ESL students and students with learning disabilities. Club Z! can also provide full-time, part-time, or supplemental tutoring for home-schooled children.

Under the No Child Left Behind Act, Club Z! is eligible to contract with under-performing schools to provide tutoring for their students. As an approved supplemental educational services provider, Club Z! can provide free tutoring to eligible students under this federally funded program. Club Z! also provides contracted services to other under-served populations, such as hospital or home-bound students, veterans, homeless students and/or students who are being served by other social service agencies.

Curriculum

Club Z! offers several curriculum programs for tutoring certain subjects:

  • A proprietary curriculum for SAT prep and ACT prep. In addition to SAT and ACT study guides, Club Z! offers SAT and ACT diagnostic tests. These diagnostic tests help identify a student’s strengths and weaknesses for performance on the SAT and ACT, as well as a projected score for these college entry exams.
  • Learning Built to Last®, a proprietary study skills curriculum for students in grades 5 through 12. The curriculum includes a study skills diagnostic test, and a learning style inventory, as well as lessons and activities to improve organization, develop effective note taking skills, improve memorization and concentration, and overcome test anxiety.
  • A curriculum for improving writing skills (The Power of Words®) as well as improving reading fluency, comprehension, and speed (Jump Into Reading™ and Connect with the Classics™). The writing program is available to students in grades 5 through 12; the reading programs are available to students in grades 9 through 12.
  • A proprietary curriculum for Kindergarten readiness, Let the Learning Begin™. The pre-K program includes a readiness inventory and lessons and materials to help students master skills necessary for entry into Kindergarten.
  • Locations

Club Z! has over 400 franchised locations throughout North America. Club Z! franchised offices are in every major market in the United States, and Club Z! has serviced over 350,000 students since 1995. Club Z!’s corporate headquarters are in Tampa, Florida.

    Franchising

Club Z! delivers its services through a network of franchises. The Club Z! model is traditionally a home-based franchise opportunity. Club Z! franchisees need no prior experience in the education industry, as extensive training is provided prior to start up. Club Z! has repeatedly been ranked as a top franchise. In 2010, it was named by Entrepreneur Magazine as the #1 In-Home Tutoring Franchise; in 2011, the magazine also named it #93 Overall Franchise 500 and #78 Top Global Franchise; and in 2013, Club Z! was ranked #35 Top Home-Based Franchise, and #41 Top Low-Cost Franchise.
