Cloyd Richardson Jr. was born in Binondo, Manila on 8 April 1950, the youngest of two children of Pilar Javellana and Cloyd Richardson Sr. When he was a child their family migrated to Bacolod City, Negros Occidental where he attended school.

Education

Boy (was his nickname), studied his Primary on North Elementary School in Bacolod City. His Secondary Schooling was in Negros Occidental High School. He finished his College in University of the East taking up Commerce and Majoring in Banking and Finance and Marketing. To become an actor was his biggest dream.

Acting career

Donnie Ramirez, Justo C. Justo and Sampaguita Pictures Producer Dr. Jose Vere-Perez, the three people who helped him to penetrate the world of Entertainment. His first movie was Orang, starring Nora Aunor and Tirso Cruz III, and Because You Are Mine was his first starring role. He is also a successful director.

Recording artist

Robinson made his first recording under Sphnyx Records via Love, Lost It's Way flipsided by Come Back, My darling in 1970.
