In 2013, there were 741 students enrolled in the school. The campus enrollment was 40 students, while the home-based program enrollment was 701 students, approximately two-thirds of whom were in grades 9â12. Campus students reside in the Ann Arbor and surrounding areas, while home school students reside in regions across the United States and 25 additional countries including: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Namibia, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
Graduates have gone on to various pursuits including college, entrepreneurial, athletic, artistic or military endeavors.

Clonlara was founded by Pat Montgomery in 1967 as a private day school. A second program was established in 1979, the Clonlara Home Based Education Program, which accommodates home schooling families in the United States and over 24 other countries.
