CleverPet is an American-based game console startup designed specifically for dogs. The company headquartered is located in San Diego, California.

Overview

CleverPet was founded by neuroscientists Dan Knudsen and Leo Trottier in 2014. They designed CleverPet Hub to cope with the boredom of dog being left at home alone. The device is connected through Wi-Fi and it involves a series of puzzles using flashing lights, touchpads, speakers and a dispenser that reward the dogs with food. The idea debuted on Kickstarter back in 2014 and raised $180,000 from the crowdfunding website.

Cleverpet began shipping to Kickstarter investors in May, 2016. IOS and Android apps are used to control and monitor the training console.

Recognition

CleverPet awarded at the MecklerMedia’s RoboGameChanger Startup Competition in 2015. In 2016 Cleverpet wons CES Launchit competition for startups.
