Description

The airport consists of a 5,500 foot by 100 foot runway, an 8,000 square foot terminal building, a thirty-five foot wide taxiway, and a 311,452 square foot apron. The construction of twenty hangars for aircraft owners is a priority.

The Airport was constructed to replace Hardwick Field, established in 1955. Several attempts to lengthen the 3,300 foot runway were made, but acquired property was required. The 42.3 million dollar project began in 2010 and the jetport officially opened on January 25, 2013. Hardwick Field closed on December 31, 2013.
