History

In 1989, Walter Bolliger asked Ken Miller, the current general manager of Clermont, if he would be interested in manufacturing roller coasters for Bolliger's company. As a result, Southern Ohio Fabricators manufactured the first Bolliger & Mabillard roller coaster - Iron Wolf at the Six Flags Great America amusement park located in Gurnee, Illinois, United States. At this time the company's main focus was still on manufacturing commercial and industrial buildings. In July 2004, Ken Miller and a group of investors bought the company and renamed it to Clermont Steel Fabricators. They also made the decision to change the focus to manufacturing roller coasters. Though the focus has changed, the company still manufactures other steel structures.
