As a self-taught painter in the contemparary art field, Schifano strives to move away from naturalism and the external in his work, preferring to "look deep" within himself seeking "deep emotions". Working in oilbar, Schifano's works are characterized by the intense use of color, imaginative shapes and symbolism. Schifano has been exhibiting his first works since 1973 and continues to participate in exhibitions and art events.
