After Nyne

After Nyne, named as a 'premier platform in the arts sector' by award winning public relations agency Palamedes PR, was founded by Meadows as a blog in 2012. Since then, the team has expanded to include a team of dedicated writers pushing forward a select agenda of arts stories, and pioneering the rising artist.

The first issue of After Nyne Magazine launched in February 2014 and is distributed online via Apple and Google Play. The eighth issue (launched October 2015) was the first to go to a print edition. The tenth issue launched in July 2016.

Early in 2016, the magazine's parent company confirmed a distribution deal with WH Smith which will take effect in September 2016, meaning the magazine will be available in the UK from 160 WH Smith stores nationwide. The magazine is already stocked in Blackwell's Oxford.

Poetry

Blood Season, a collection of Meadows' work dating back to 2004, was published in May 2016 by Urbane Publications. Urbane published Meadows' third collection To the Lions in February 2016.

She has drawn comparisons with Alan Ginsberg and Sylvia Plath for the highly personal, confessional feel of her work. She sites her inspiration as 'A desire for the truth. My own and everyone else's. I'll let you know when I find it'.

Her next collection is due out in Spring 2017.

Asked what her advice to writers is she stated 'Endure. Long after they've slammed the door in your face. And absorb everything.'
